News from Greece, 2016

There are 3 major issues concerning the Hellenic Association of Ergotherapists at the moment:

  1. The 7th Occupational Therapy Congress due to take place on 15 & 16 October 2016. The theme of the Congress is “Building Healthy Societies: Inclusion, Development, Networking and Quality”.
  2. The Hellenic Association seems to have succeeded in becoming a legal entity. This is a major breakthrough and we have been trying for this for some time now. We are expecting the publication of the law, as soon as it is voted by the Parliament.
  3. The Hellenic Association of Ergotherapists is expecting that the refund given to clients by the state, when they attend private practice Occupational Therapy sessions, is to become the same as with other health professions. The Ministry of Health has included our suggestions in the new health regulations to be published.
