ER-WCPT and COTEC have collaborated over the years, there have been joint position papers and reciprocal endorsements of statements and campaigns as well as online meetings regarding the status of rehabilitation professions.  The Memorandum of Understanding is first of a kind between the two organisations and it provides guidelines for future cooperation. It was signed by ER-WCPT Chairperson Esther-Mary D’Arcy and COTEC President Anu Söderström on the 31st January 2025.

The organisations commit to working in partnership and cooperation on issues of mutual interest related to patients´ rights; professional practice; and education and continuing professional development.

The MoU was launched on Social Media February 12.
