My connection with COTEC began in 2015, when I became the alternate delegate for the Occupational Therapy Association of the Netherlands and a member of the expert register. Marking the start of a long-standing commitment to advocating for occupational therapy.

With around 20 years of experience in healthcare in and around Amsterdam the Netherlands, primarily as an occupational therapist, but also as a researcher, teammanager, board member, and consultant, I’m dedicated to promoting equitable, person-centred care. My background in medical anthropology helps me understand the interplay between culture, health, and wellbeing — a perspective that deeply informs my practice.

I am delighted to have been elected as a member of the Executive Committee, and I look forward to contributing to COTEC’s mission of strengthening occupational therapy across Europe and supporting a more inclusive and sustainable approach to health and wellbeing.
