The COTEC Executive Committee held its second interim meeting in 2025, online from 24th to 25th of June.

The agenda was filled with focused discussions on governance work and strategic planning for the upcoming months. Building momentum towards the General Assembly in Berlin this September, the Executive Committee finalised the proposed budget for 2026 and discussed ongoing meaningful spending opportunities that further enhance COTEC’s strategic goals and actions for the coming years.
A central aspect of the meeting was the consolidation of COTEC’s network mapping activity, which underlined the impact of COTEC’s work and collaboration with existing partners and potential collaborations in healthcare, education, and policy. Utilising reflective questions, the Executive Committee identified COTEC’s most impactful and meaningful partnerships and tasks for the upcoming years that align with COTEC’s strategic plan 2025-2028. Among these networks are promising partners who may contribute to future collaborations with COTEC and Member Associations, including the second COTEC webinar of 2025, which will explore the theme of planetary health and green spaces in Occupational Therapy. Additionally, future collaborations will include the continuous promotion of impact awards with other European healthcare organisations and an active contribution to the European Health Policy Platform by submitting a thematic proposal. These actions aim to enhance the visibility and policy impact of Occupational Therapy practitioners across Europe.
Stay tuned for further updates and initiatives after the General Assembly in September. The COTEC Executive Committee looks forward to bringing promising opportunities for Occupational Therapy practitioners that contribute to professional development and growth. Future opportunities aim to amplify our profession’s voice and strengthen the presence of Occupational Therapy on local, national, and European levels.
